Creation of a list of freed slaves which will be engraved on the monument of the national memorial to the victims of slavery installed in the Trocadero gardens in 2026.

27,000 pages of civil registration records from the municipalities of Guadeloupe (1800-1848) and Martinique (1824-1904).
Processing workflow
- Training the models via an annotation campaign on Callico
- Detection of pages present in images (generic segmentation model)
- Detection of records present on each page (specific segmentation model)
- Extracting information for each record (specific information extraction model)
- Export of CSV files that will be integrated into the database identifying people freed in 1848
