What is document layout analysis ?

Document Layout Analysis extracts meaningful structural information from an image. Our technology goes much further and can understand the organization of a document (text, illustration, table, etc.).

Document layout analysis

TEKLIA's Document Layout Analysis operates on two levels :

Physical Layout Analysis focuses on the spatial organization of a document. It identifies where columns, headlines, images, and other elements appear on the page.

Logical Layout Analysis interprets the semantic relationships between these elements. It determines which headline and image belong to which text, as well as the correct reading order.
